Jake first auditioned for X Factor in 2012
Kim Glover Entertainment, followed this TV exposure by gaining Jake the opportunity to co host The Chart Show TV on a regular basis, including presenting from Wireless Music Festival backstage.
A second TV X Factor audition followed in 2014 where he won through to Judges Houses.Following X Factor, we were delighted to secure ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ which was a huge success with Jake attaining top runner up spot.
A co presenting slot followed alongside ‘Lorraine’ on her ITV Morning TV Show.
This was a real opportunity for Jake at ITV as not only was he ‘Jungle Jake’ talking to guests re I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, he then travelled the Country presenting Lorraine’s very Special ‘Kelly’s Hero Awards ‘to really deserving (unsuspecting!) people, and dovetailing it all via live links into the Lorraine Studio.
Acting has continued to be a major interest for Jake and to that end, he was treading the boards in December 2017, appearing alongside Jennifer Ellison, starring in the musical, produced by Selladoor of ‘Peter Pan a Musical Adventure’, at Blackpool Opera House.
2018 started an amazing year, with ITV Flagship TV show ‘Dancing On Ice’ 2018, which after extensive training he won with the super skater Vanessa Baur.
The most exciting opportunity secured for 2019 had been (with Jake very much coming into his own) winning the starring role as Berger in the seven month nationwide touring stage musical, ‘Hair’. He was superb in this role.
Jake also had the opportunity to join Hollyoaks as a guest actor with the TV show’s massive autumn storyline which he enjoyed immensely.
In 2020 Jake’s TV appearances on The Full Monty (On Ice) with ITV, where alongside skating he sang ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas ‘ live, which brought the house down. 2021 commenced with Jake and his partner Sophie featuring in the Super MTV series ‘Celebrity Bumps’.
We were pleased to confirm Celebrity SAS ‘Who Dares Wins ‘TV show on channel 4 mid year, this would test Jake to his limit and he relished every minute.
We then opened the door to exciting brand partnerships for Jake, these have continued to this day to be successful for him.
2022 led on to Jake playing the loveable character Willard on the amazing nationwide tour of ‘FootLoose’ produced and directed by Selladoor.
2023 Jake recorded the TV show ‘Help My house is Haunted’ alongside other TV guest appearances.
For some years now Jake has been an ambassador for Sarcoma UK – he ran the London Marathon to raise awareness & funds.
